(b. 2002, Leicester).
Taking from the conceptual structure of a band - one that is built on the collaborative foundations of shared labour and friendship - we work collaboratively across the mediums of drawing, writing, sound, sculpture, costume, performance and film. It produces both artworks and offerings– a performative archive; a dream object; a broadcast to be encountered, interpreted and reimagined. Animal Dreams has evolved through various stages of distance, experimentation, and re-connection, understanding collaboration not as a fixed state, but as something shifting and alive. Fulfilling our teenage dream of indie rock superstardom.
We both completed an Art Foundation at Camberwell College of Arts in 2022, which is where we met. Ella then went on to study Fine Art at Ruskin School of Art, Oxford. Martha went on to study Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. They both graduated in 2025.
